YOUTUBE CHANNEL

This is the Super Shows Youtube Channel. Their's a blue background to contrast with the red of the YouTube logo. Super Shows was written in black, capital letters to stand out with the red and blue. The title Super Shows is in the top right corner of the YouTube symbol. The play sign is like a metaphor for playing action. I chose to do it simple so it's highly recognisable by anyone and not too complicated to be recognised.

This is what I did, I coloured in the YouTube symbol before adding a background.

This is what I did for the finishing logo. I coloured the background blue to contrast with the YouTube symbol. Super Shows is written within the logo so that the black, bold writing isn't contrasting with the blue background. I have used black, blue and red which are all contrasting colours.
I used a blue paint tool to colour in the background so it can contrast with the logo. I also used black, bold letters to draw attention to the logo.

This is the Super Shows logo before it got finished- as you can see the YouTube symbol hasn't been added to the logo yet.
This is my finished YouTube banner which has the YouTube symbol within the Super Shows title.
The logo is red and white which are the colours of Youtube and I have also replaced the "O" with the Youtube symbol. The letters are bold and sharp to attract people's attention. The title is also an alliteration which can also make it more memorable and easier to say. It is successful as it links the YouTube logo into the name of the channel.

This is my YouTube channel as you can see it is called Super Shows and has the colours red and blue. I like that my channel is completed. Now that my channel is completed, i can now put work onto the show.

This is my production company Foster's Productions. I chose the colour red because it can increase blood pressure + further increase heart rate. Red contrasts with a black background therefore standing out even further to be noticed. I also added a light that can symbolise that the viewer is entering the film. I wrote Fosters Productions in Photoshop with a red and bold font to attract the viewers attention. I made a 3D layer of the text and then animated some 3D lights within the environment using keyframes. As you may be able to see it is only 25 seconds, I kept it at about 30 or less seconds to maintain the focus. If it's too long the viewership will lose focus and may tune out of the film/programme as well.

As you can see in this screenshot it is only partially lit because of the lights are moving in and out of lock with the title. The lights moving and revealing the title in pieces is a reflection of how the mystery of a film is only fed to you in pieces until at the end(or close to) when you know the full picture. This is, in some ways, a personification of how a plot of a story is revealed.

The lights are moving in and out of focus which can represent how the clues of a plot can appear and disappear. This is successful as it draws the viewer in slowly mirroring the film.

This shows that you only get the plot in pieces like a puzzle being fed to you. Red can symbolise the danger and possibly the blood to represent possible bloody action. The target audience maybe expecting danger, threat and blood.

This is, in some ways, the audience trying to get to the end of the film revealing all the information. The person is the audience and the light is the film itself/ writer and director leading them to the information they need to understand the plot. The blue of the person is colour psychology to show that the audience are the people on the other side of the 4th wall trying to see the film. For this I got a layout of a human and coloured it blue to contrast with the red of Foster's Production.

This shows that the audience gets a clearer picture as the tv show or film un-ravels. The background contrasts with the light so you can notice it and it's also like it leads you through the film (as if it was like a dark tunnel). It's successful as their's psychology within it that suggests the light's movements mirrors the film's plot.

The light getting dimmer can represent that the message of the film has been received and is drawing to a close as their's nothing else to discover. It's almost as if the person is taking this journey with you through the film. The lights dims symbolising everything has to come to an end.

This is a screenshot of the super shows youtube page and it has the home, videos, playlists, channels, discussion, about and the search logo. As you can see my video is on the page, their's 2 options- customise channel and youtube studio. The video is in the centre of the page which is to draw the attention from the viewer. The video also has settings like save to watch later and save to playlist so you can access them later and easier.
My final design reflects my target audience by making it about the YouTube logo instead of the content showed. This makes it universal as YouTube is universal and there is no specific target audience for YouTube. I gave it a blue background to contrast with the red of the YouTube logo and wrote Super Shows in black and in the top-right corner. Black also contrasts with the red of the logo. I used the type tool to type Super Shows. I used the blue paint tool for a background to contrast.
With the video I used spotlight tools to move about and then the title Foster’s Production will appear from them. The person is blue so they can contrast with the red of the production company name. They also have a torch and a light appears to show them everything. The meaning of the light is that it leads you to the production like a film leads you to the final message at the end. Sort of like the light at the end of the tunnel.
I think this is a decent production intro. It could be more complicated than what is their but it’s visual enough to see what it is.
I would try to learn more about After Effects so I could use it easier and quicker next time. This in return should make it faster to make work that needs to be made.

This is my banner for my Youtube Channel. I have added already existing superheroes as i don't have my own designs and these heroes will be more recognisable. The target audience will pick up on at least 1 hero whether they like Marvel, DC or Disney (a few might like all of the above). Flash and Superman are DC, Violet and Dash(red/black) are Disney and Iron Man is Marvel. I only chose 5 heroes because I didn't want to crowd it with a blanket of un-identifiable heroes (they'll be un-Identifiable because they're all merged together).
The reason I chose Iron Man over the likes of Thor, Captain America or Hulk is because people have been seeing him for longer and as he's also an ordinary human without powers people can relate to him(despite money). I chose Violet and Dash over MR. Incredible and Elastigirl because they are children and not many superheroes are children compared to the amount that are adults.
3 out of the 5 I have chosen can physically reach superhuman speeds and that is one of the most popular super powers, other popular ones are superhuman strength and flight (which Superman has).
I have Superman carrying the Super Shows logo to represent his super strength but it is also a representation of that the movies in the 70's -80's are responsible for the superhero movies we have today and how they ushered in a new era of superhero movies.
I have The Flash speeding towards the screen (top left), I chose him for numerous reasons:
1) he has a red suit which links with the red of Super Shows
2) he has superhuman speed (who wouldn't want to move faster)
3) and behind the super speed he is a normal human like the rest of us.

This is my logo for the channel. The 'O' of shows is replaced with a YouTube symbol as it's a YouTube Channel. I chose the colour red as it contrasts with the white of the background also red and white are YouTube's colours. Red links with the danger characters may face and the contrast will represent the rivalries possibly explored.
